Meet Our Founder

Andrea, a devoted mother of two incredible sons, Colton (13) and Hunter (16), who was diagnosed with autism at 18 months. Andrea champions the belief that every individual holds immeasurable value and worth. She firmly believes that God's love encompasses all people, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities. Andrea's vision is simple yet profound: to ensure that no one is left behind, that everyone is embraced, loved, included, and known exactly as God created them to be.

Andrea has firsthand experience of the challenges faced by neurodiverse individuals, particularly in finding social and vocational opportunities. She firmly believes that everyone deserves the chance to cultivate meaningful relationships, acquire valuable skills, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Driven by a passion for inclusive communities, and guided by the words of Romans 15:13, Andrea established Hope Filled Café to fulfill this sacred mission. With over a decade of experience in serving others, Andrea's dedication knows no bounds.

ABOUT US

Our team is made up of amazing young adults with autism and cognitive disabilities – all under the age of 30. We focus on this age group because after age 22, when vital support disappears, the years that follow are filled with massive uncertainty. Many join us through a school district’s Unified or Transition Program, postsecondary schools, or the Special Olympics network.

They are eager, capable, and so worthy of meaningful work. We take the time to understand each person’s strengths, comfort levels, and needs, so we can match them with tasks that that set them up for success. And since we’re part-time and event-based, we keep a flexible team list and schedule shifts based on each event.
